This course maps directly to and is the preferred choice for hands-on preparation for the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Exam 410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012.

Course 20411: This course is intended for Information Technology (IT) Professionals with hands on experience implementing, managing and maintaining a Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 environment who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to perform advanced management and provisioning of services within that Windows Server 2012 environment. This course is the preferred choice for hands-on preparation for Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Exam 411: Administering Windows Server 2012.

Course 20412: This course is intended for Information Technology (IT) Professionals with hands on experience working in a Windows server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 environment who wish to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to be able to manage and maintain the core infrastructure required for a Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 environment. The key focus for students is to broaden the initial deployment of Windows Server 2012 services and infrastructure and provide the skills necessary to manage and maintain a domain based Windows Server 2012 environment, providing skills in areas such as User and Group management, Network Access and Data Security. The IT-501/IT-502 program is for the student who wants to become trained and certified with Microsoft Server 2012 R2 technologies. The ideal candidate for this program is someone who already possesses desktop support skills or knowledge, basic networking training and is ready to become a System Administrator of Microsoft server technologies. Students will be prepared for Microsoft MCSA: Server 2012 R2 certification testing.

Program Description

This is an advanced 340 hour long, 4 part program, specifically designed for students who are ready to start or looking to upgrade their Server Administration skill set to Server 2012 R2. Between all four courses, students will be provided with the information that is needed to implement a complete Windows Server 2012 infrastructure and be prepared to obtain the MCSA Server 2012 certification.

In (CIS 10967) Fundamentals of a Windows Server Infrastructure students will be provided with the fundamental skills and knowledge in regards to networking, security, and system administration information that is needed to implement a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure.

In (CIS 20410) Configuring and Troubleshooting a Windows Server 2012 Network Infrastructure students will learn how to implement and configure core services, install and configure servers, configure server roles and features plus gain exposure to virtualization. Deploy and configure core network services, Install and administer Active Directory, and finally Create and manage Group Policy.

In (CIS 20411) Administering Windows Server 2012 Students are taught the administration tasks necessary to maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure such as configuring and troubleshooting name resolution, user and group management, implementing Remote Access solutions such as DirectAccess, VPNs and Web Application Proxy.

In (CIS 20412) Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services students will learn advance administration configuration services necessary to deploy, manage and maintain a Windows Server 2012 infrastructure such as advanced networking services, Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) , Network Load Balancing, Failover Clustering and disaster recovery services.

This is an ideal starting point for someone who already has Desktop support training or skills but a limited knowledge of network technologies.. Once certified, a person is capable of becoming a system and network administrator of Microsoft Server 2012 R2 technologies. Students will be prepared for CompTIA Network+ and MCSA: Server 2012 R2 certification testing.

Program Description

This 460 hour long, 5 part program, specifically designed for entry-level students who are ready to start or looking to upgrade their Server Administration skill set to Server 2012 R2. Between all five courses, students will be provided with the information that is needed to implement a complete Windows Server 2012 infrastructure and be prepared to obtain the MCSA Server 2012 certification.

(CIS N10-006) Network+: topics include basics of data communication, communication architectures, transmission methods, OSI Model and the TCP/IP protocol stack. You will build a LAN that demonstrates topologies, components, media access control methods (MAC), protocols, bit rates and bandwidth.
