The objective of the program is to prepare students to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification in Microsoft Office 2007. Students are also introduced to QuickBooks accounting software to further their marketability in the office workplace.

The program consists of the following courses:
The Introduction to Computers course focuses on computer literacy, basic computer hardware and software knowledge, understanding your operating system, and file management.
The Business Writing and Communications course teaches business writing and business communication skills.
The Microsoft Word 2007 course prepares students in creating, customizing, organizing, formatting, using visual content, reviewing, sharing, and securing contents of documents.
The Microsoft Excel 2007 course prepares students in creating, manipulating and formatting data, formulas, presenting data visually, and securing data in worksheets.
The Microsoft Access 2007 course prepares students in structuring, creating and formatting database elements, creating and modifying queries, and entering, sharing and modifying data.
The Microsoft Outlook 2007 course prepares students in managing messaging, schedules and tasks, contacts, and organizing information.
The Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 course prepares students in creating and formatting presentation masters and templates, slide content, dynamic visual content and presentations.
The QuickBooks Introduction course focuses on using Intuit’s QuickBooks program to perform basic business accounting functions.
Graduates will obtain the skill set and gain the knowledge necessary to earn the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) designation.

Each Microsoft Office exam costs $95, the QuickBooks End-User Certification e costs $150.00 and the ETA international Customer Service Specialist test costs $75.00. The total cost for all of these certification tests is $700.00. All of these tests are optional, but strongly recommended.
